LanceAnderson and Michael Sloski have been playing as the country’s premiere Hammond organ and drum duo for over a decade now. With the release of their second CD, they are taking on the name of ‘The Joint Chiefs of Soul’ and expanding their music with a soul collective of players. They will have two stunning background singers and Art Avalos (Manteca) on percussion. But they will still continue to play as a duo, because it is the most versatile and flexible format. Wherever either of them wants to go …. they can. You will not believe that two people can make so much music and such a big sound. They will always be the foundation of any project that they are involved in.
Lance Anderson is a Juno award winning producer (Leahy) and ‘Maple Blues Keyboardist of the Year’ (2013). He has toured and recorded with Shakura S’Aida for the last 10 years, and performed with Tommy Castro, FATHEAD, Danny Brooks and Deanna Bogart.

He has played on and produced CD’s by FATHEAD, Roly Platt, John Mays, Al Lerman, Morgan Davis, just in the past year.
Lance is one of the few people who still play bass pedals on a Hammond B3 organ. This is a rare art.

Michael Sloski is one of the most recorded drummer’s in Canada; he is a drummer’s drummer. He has recorded and played with Bruce Cockburn, Holly Cole, Manteca, The Cameo Blues Band, The Dexters, and so many more.
The list of his credits over the past 40 years of playing in Canada is too long to list. Ask any drummer and they will tell you. Michael is in a class by himself.
What makes Michael unique is his groove. He has a very personal and creative way of playing the drums that is completely his own. He orchestrates with the drums. and arranges and conducts the songs as he plays. He plays the song….And nobody shuffles like Sloski.
Two of the country’s most respected players, playing the music that they love at an incredible level of depth and feeling. They have played at: Mont Tremblant Int. Blues Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, Festival Int. de Jazz de Montreal, Kitchener Blues Fest, Beaches Jazz Festival, Orangeville Blues Festival, Orillia Spring Blues Festival, Wasaga Beach Blues Fest and more. Don’t miss them, Anderson & Sloski are The Joint Chiefs of SOUL.
